This program allows local residents who have knitting or crocheting abilities to have a positive impact on people who are facing crisis. The volunteers create thousands of handmade items each year for distribution to those in need. Items include: blankets, shawls, shrugs, hats, baby sweaters and caps, booties, etc.
Locations that items are distributed to include: Alpha Pregnancy Center, St. Gerards, St. Vincent De Paul, local nursing homes, hospices, oncology and dialysis care centers, and many more.
The Blanketeers meet monthly on from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Flagler County Library in Palm Coast.
