Volunteer Programs

Retired & Senior Volunteer Program
Targets citizens over 55 and encourages them to stay active by volunteering their time to local agencies that are in dire need of assistance. RSVP also serves as a resource to the local non-profits, government agencies, and health care proprietors that are registered as stations. These stations, with assistance from our RSVP volunteers, meet critical community needs.

Allows children who would otherwise be unable to purchase gifts for their family members the opportunity to select a gift free of charge for everyone who lives in their household. The Giving Store teaches these children “The Joy of Giving”. The Giving Store is run solely by volunteer power and fundraising efforts.

The Flagler County Blanketeers
Provides handmade items to people facing crisis. This group of volunteers spends more than 20,000 hours per year knitting and crocheting items to distribute to agencies that assist people going through various hardships. They make baby blankets, lap robes, shawls, hats and other miscellaneous items. The items are then given to people wherever the need may be, locally, statewide, nationwide, and even internationally. Items are given to people going through Chemo, Dialysis, teen moms, tornado victims, hurricane victims, domestic abuse victims and many more. They meet monthly at the Flagler County Library.
ReadingPals
A reading mentoring program that matches volunteers with students K-3 in the Flagler County Schools. The volunteer will work one on one with with students to help develop reading skills and self-confidence. Each volunteer will meet one hour a week through the school year with a student in their classroom to help them with reading by having the student read out loud to them. Volunteers will help the students with fluency, pronunciation, comprehension and comfort in reading.
