CERT Basic Training
Spring 2023 Training
CERT Trainings are sponsored through a partnership with Flagler County Emergency Management and conducted by Flagler Volunteer Services in partnership with Flagler County Fire Rescue to engage and educate local volunteers that wish to serve during times of emergencies or disasters.
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during CERT exercises, members can assist their community or workplace following an emergency event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.
The course is FREE and you will receive a CERT manual in class and CERT kit upon course completion.
♦ Estimated Time = 30 hrs
♦ Will be conducted in ten – 3 hours sessions including a disaster simulation, final examination and graduation
