Disaster Volunteer Training Series

This training series educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for hazards in their area and trains them in disaster response skills. Classes are listed below Registration will occur one month prior. Trainings will be Zoom or in person (TBD)

The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Emergency Management Institute offers many online training courses concerning Emergency and Disaster topics.  Check out the courses at FEMA Online Training


CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Basic Training – The CERT program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.

There is the online education that must be completed prior to the  in person practical sessions. Class size is limited due to COVID-19. CDC guidelines will be in effect.  Detailed information can be found here:  CERT Training Information
