This program allows local residents who have knitting or crocheting abilities to have a positive impact on people who are facing crisis. The volunteers create thousands of handmade items each year for distribution to those in need. Items include: blankets, shawls, shrugs, hats, baby sweaters and caps, helmet liners for our troops, booties, etc.
Locations that items are distributed to include: Alpha Pregnancy Center, the Free Clinic, St. Gerards, St. Vincent De Paul, local nursing homes, hospices, oncology and dialysis care centers, and many more.
The Blanketeers meet monthly on FRIDAY mornings from 9 a.m. – 12 noon at the Flagler County Library in Palm Coast.
ALL MEETINGS WILL BE FROM 9:30am-11:00am FOR DROP OFF OF DONATED ITEMS AND PICK UP OF YARN ONLY.
WE ARE UNABLE TO HOST THE TRADITIONAL MEETINGS. THIS IS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
