Volunteer of the Year Award

What is it?

A volunteer is defined as someone who voluntarily offers themselves for a service or undertaking and perform it willingly and without pay.

Award Purpose

The Volunteer of the Year Award allows our community to recognize and celebrate a volunteer who has gone above and beyond in their volunteer service.  The purpose of this award is to honor a volunteer whose dedicated service has had a significant impact on the agency that they serve and/or the community at large.  The award is given to someone that has served in any way that has benefitted the community.

Eligibility: Nominees must have served in an impactful role

Award Criteria

  • Strong volunteer characteristics that could include:  dependability, flexibility, initiative, cooperation and positive interaction with others.
  • Going above and beyond to make a positive impact on the agency that they serve or the community at large.
  • Having a positive impact that could include:  increasing the capacity of the agency that they serve, recruiting additional volunteers, raising funds, etc.
